CHILDREN'S BOOK
FRANCESCA FOX
My final year honours project was dedicated to writing and illustrating the children’s book, Francesca Fox. This project allowed me to explore narratives and themes, create engaging visuals and use humor to appeal to a younger audience. My children’s book conveys an educational message of overcoming social pressure and learning the importance of individuality.
The imagery is intended to appeal to youth while the commentary empowers and informs children on contemporary issues of identity and acceptance.

Skyleigh McCallum
The Problem
Skyleigh McCallum is a certified Realtor and Financial Educator in Kamloops, British Columbia. She had two websites, one for her Financial Educator site and one for her Realtor site.

The challenge was to combine both websites onto one site that was easy to navigate for both channels. In addition, Skyleigh requested a new brand identity that reflected both of her businesses.
Timeline
4 weeks
Key Goals
-
Amalgamate two websites into one that is easy to navigate for both audiences
-
Design a new brand identity that speaks to both audiences
My Role
My role was to design a new brand identity for Skyleigh. Her aesthetic goal was to have a unique symbol that could reflect both her business while incorporating earthy and calming elements. In addition, I designed her website which included her homepage, resources, blog and contact page.

Brand Identity
Skyleigh's previous logo had a "watercolour" effect and gold overlay which made it difficult to translate on multiple platforms i.e. black backgrounds, colourful backgrounds, etc. The rebrand removed those aspects to become a clean and modern version which allows her logo to be inverted, where necessary.

Web Design

Outcome
Within the 4-week project timeline, I was able to design a new brand identity for Skyleigh and create a website that she was very happy with!
